National mortgage rates not moving

National mortgage rates show no sign of moving much from the near-record lows of the last year, the Washington Business Journal reports.The weekly rate report by Freddie Mac (OTCBB:FMCC) puts the average rate on a 30-year, fixed-rate mortgage at 3.52 percent for the week ending March 7,At the same time, the number of people applying for a mortgage rose sharply last week, jumping 14.8 percent, according to a separate report from our sister publication in Washington.
