Single-family home prices on Hawaii's Big Island rise 25%

Prices of single-family homes on the Big Island jumped by more than 25 percent in February, while condominium prices declined 6 percent, compared to last year, according to statistics from Hawaii Information Service.The median price of a single-family home on the Big Island last month was $295,000, which was 25.5 percent higher than the median price in February 2012 of $235,000.
