Work to begin on D.C. youth baseball academy

Just in time for the start of baseball season, the National Park Service has been issued a permit to construct the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy at the federally owned Fort Dupont Park, to include a 21,000-square-foot training facility with classrooms and support space, a 2,000-square-foot maintenance building, three baseball fields and bleacher seating.
